We love the name Known Ministries because when we are fully known and we find that we are still fully loved, the comfort and change we long for can finally come. We have degrees, certifications, training, and experience in theology, education, biblical counseling, trauma, storywork, and we are continually learning. Regardless of your profession or season of life, we want to help you connect your story to God’s story. We want you to see transformation in your own life and then be inspired and equipped to invite others to the same transformation you have experienced. Known Ministries is Brenda Payne and Alex Kocher.
Even though Alex Kocher was born in the north, she has all the charm of a southern native! Brenda says Alex is the fine cheese and wine to her beer and brats style! Alex has a deep love of learning evidenced by her constant pursuit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of God and people. For all of her endeavors and experience, nothing has produced more perseverance, character and hope than God’s school of chronic pain. Alex is devoted to the local church and lives in Montgomery, Alabama. She and her husband, Mason, have two adult daughters.
Brenda Payne is known for her “otter” personality! She is playful, fun loving and laughs easily. She thrives on deep conversations over good coffee and long walks. Her personal story and experience of God’s amazing grace and sufficient comfort make her approachable to both sinner and sufferer. She is passionate about helping women develop spiritual friendships and encouraging confidence and competence in “one another” soul care. She and her husband, Paul, live in Chattanooga, TN and have three adult children and three amazing grandchildren!
